Senior Hardware Engineer, Dallas, TX/Portland, OR

This well-known high-speed Network/Security Monitoring company is seeking a Senior Hardware Design Engineer to design and develop their next-generation ethernet switching interconnected enterprise system. The Senior Hardware Design Engineer will participate in the design and development of large scale high-speed cutting-edge packet processors and switches (100G – 400G).

Responsibilities

Design architecture - participate in design requirements for Ethernet Switching and Routing products.
Collaboration with Software, Hardware Engineering Management teams on product requirements and technical reviews.
Lead the design of schematics, block diagrams
Software - Collaborate with Software Engineering team to optimize design and debug products.
Physical Design/Layout - Lead the physical design and layout of the PCB.
Board Bring-up/Validation - Test, debug, validate power, timing and functionality.

Requirements

BS/MS in Electrical Engineering
5+ years of experience of designing and developing Ethernet switching and/or routing products.
Experience in high-speed digital designs (10G/25G/100G).
Solid experience with Verilog or VHDL coding for FPGA/CLPD.
Solid programing experience with C/C++ to develop, test and debug embedded systems.
Familiar with the following design tools: Cadence, Orcad and Allegro.
Prior design experience with the following interfaces: I2C, SPI, UART.

Relocation assistance will be provided living outside the Dallas, TX or Portland, OR area
