Mixed-Signal Engineer - Battery (Boston, MA)

Hybrid Position (half remote/half office)

Location: Boston, MA


This pioneer of home Wireless/Speaker technology company is seeking an experienced Mixed-Signal Electrical Engineer to join their Advanced Technology team. As part of the Advanced Technology team you will be responsible for researching and designing various battery charging topologies for existing and future battery technologies and developing unique battery packs in combination with advanced battery management systems (BMS) to enhance consumer experience of next generation devices.  


Responsibilities

  • Research battery charging topologies and technologies.
  • Evaluate, design and test battery packs under the scope of existing products.
  • Develop a holistic battery driven power delivery system with the focus on efficiency, safety, thermal management, level of integration reliability and cost.
  • Lead and perform schematic, circuit and PCB designs for proof of concept and conduct performance tests under various environmental and usage conditions. 
  • Develop battery pack and BMS requirement documents, including specifications, performance requirements, form factor dependencies, test and validation plans.
  • Create and maintain a trend report on battery pack and charging technologies.

 

Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 2 years of Analog/Mixed-Signal experience
  • Preferred experience designing Battery-powered PCBs.
  • Schematic/PCB design and electrical debugging experience
  • Experience in analog and mixed circuit design, including protection circuits, ADCs, DACs, signal conditioning, thermal management and low power microcontrollers
  • Embedded Firmware programming skills
