Senior Robotics Software Engineer (Navigation)
Robotics Startup - SF Bay Area
This exciting Bay Area Robotics Start-up is seeking a Senior Robotics Software Engineer to own the entire mobile robot navigation pipeline ranging from control, localization, mapping, and path planning. This will include high-level autonomous navigation algorithm development. This role will have the following responsibilities:
- Creating and developing mobile robot stack.
- Creating and developing mobile robot dynamics modeling and control.
- Kalman/particle filtering, sensor fusion, nonlinear state estimation.
- Developing path planning (A*, D*, RRT), trajectory optimization, and SLAM + localization.
Qualifications:
- PhD/MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field, and 5+ years of experience in the mobile robotics industry.
- Solid computer science fundamentals.
- Solid C/C++, Python coding experience.
- Knowledge 2D/3D camera and LIDAR perception pipeline development experience.
- Multi-Robot control coordination experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ML/DL mobile robotics experience.
- ROS navigation stack development experience.
